A New RIC Community: St. Paul’s Lutheran Church (Newark, DE)

Help ReconcilingWorks welcome the newest Reconciling in Christ (RIC) community:

St. Paul’s Lutheran Church
of Newark, Deleware.

Their welcome statement reads:

“We believe all people are created in God’s image.

Rooted in Jesus’ ministry of liberation, unconditional love, and hospitality, we strive to welcome all into our community. This welcome explicitly includes those who have traditionally been marginalized in the church and society due to their sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, marital status, racial and ethnic background, physical ability, developmental ability, citizenship/documentation status, and socio-economic status. We are committed to continuing both self and community learning, and to making inclusivity and racial equity a reality for our congregation.

Because we seek to be shaped and changed by God through those called into our faith community, all are welcome to the worship life of this congregation. This includes access to the sacraments of Baptism and Holy Communion, and full participation in our congregational life and shared ministries.
