Help ReconcilingWorks welcome the newest Reconciling in Christ (RIC) community: Bethlehem Lutheran Church in Saint Charles, Illinois.
Their welcome statement reads:
“Bethlehem Lutheran Church is a community of people which seeks to live out Jesus’ extravagant welcome and love. We strive to live an active faith working for reconciliation and wholeness in our life together and in our outreach to the world.
We dedicate ourselves to the work of racial equity, social and environmental justice, and liberation from all that divides us as God’s beloved. We welcome people of all races, ages, abilities, sexual orientations, gender identities, and gender expressions. We affirm the sacredness of all loving relationships. We affirm the sacredness of all those who have experienced exclusion because of race, age, ability, culture, or difference. We affirm the sacredness of all who live with addiction, all with physical and mental illness, all who are imprisoned, and all with socio-economic obstacles.
