In keeping with the themes, we have discussed this Lenten season in Slow Church, let us use the following scripture to live in for Holy Week. “This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you. No one has greater love than this, to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. John 15:12
Maundy Thursday
Christ; you have shown what it means to extend endless hospitality. May your life teach us more than stories but move our hearts and hands to live like you by loving all your Beloved with great intention. Jesus may your life be reflected in our heart, hands, and words.
In your gracious name we pray. Amen
Good Friday
Holy and Giving God; your love and hope are in all things. In moments when our hearts are hard, eyes cannot see, and souls feel heavy, help us not exclude those who within our reach. May we never exclude people because of lack of understanding or fear.
In your name we pray. Amen
Easter Sunday
Alleluia! Christ is Risen and ALL are freed by the Grace of God to live into the fullness of their person-hood! May we all remember on this holy day, that we have each been made with endless love, mysterious intention, and diversity beyond limits.
In the promise of life, love, and hope we pray. Amen
